Darkness even though a light and a reflection probe?

All the zombies are pitch black along with my weapon. The reflection probe in the center of the room sees everything because the map is a square.. The perks can be seen perfectly.. but i can only see my weapon when i stand right below the reflection probe.. Please help :)

Caulkbox? Did you add a caulkbox?
Is your light strong enough? Perk machines give off light, but is your light source too dark?

Caulkbox? Did you add a caulkbox?
Is your light strong enough? Perk machines give off light, but is your light source too dark?

I'm not sure what a caulkbox is, so therefor that must be the problem  :D :lol:

Just add a hollow box of caulk around your map, make sure there is no gaps, and apply your skybox texture on the inside. :please: This might not be the reason though.

- Make sure you have a hollowed out caulk box around your entire map with the inner faces a sky texture (doesn't matter which one)
- Make sure your world spawn settings are properly set to light your map
- Add a light grid volume brush around your entire playable area
- Add reflection probes to all rooms and areas of the map
- Add additional lights to fix anything the world spawn settings didn't light properly

The black weapon models and zombies is most likely caused by having no light grid volume around your map, like Jbird632 mentioned. To create it, draw a brush that encompasses your entire map and give it the 'Light Grid Volume' texture found under the 'tools' texture section in radiant.
