So for my Der Riese mod, I'd like it if when you roll for a weapon, the text displayed when a weapon is chosen appears as "Hold F for WEAPON" or whatever. What would I have to change in order to get this to work? Thanks!

Go to Raw>English>localizedstrings>zombie.str and go to line 464.Then just change the text to whatever you want

The problem with that is that I'd need a separate one for each weapon. So like, if the Kar98k popped up in the Mystery Box, it would say "Hold F for Kar98k", or if I got the BAR, it would instead say "Hold F for BAR". The game by default only has one string of text ("Press and Hold F to trade weapons"), since it doesn't have to specify which weapon is given by the box. I hope I'm making sense here lol

Community Mapper Has released one or more maps to the UGX-Mods community which have been added to the UGX Map Manager.
Community Scripter Has shown effort and knowledge in the area of scripting while being a part of the UGX-Mods community.

you would ahve to set up a function to find to return the string from the weapon name, then use that in the hintstring, waw (as far as i know) has no way of getting the display name of a weapon

im pretty sure if you do this you will run into hintstring limits

I guess since we're on the topic of strings, how would I reference a specific stringtable in the mod.csv? Because I've made a couple changes to the zombie.str in raw/english/localizedstrings, and I believed I tried putting in something like rawfile,english,localizedstrings/zombie.str, but that didn't change anything.

should be
rawfile,english/localizedstrings/zombie.str

Turns out it was actually "localize,zombie", but thanks for the help :)
