When I go into vertex mode, any line turns into black, I would like them to stay silver, I know theres a command on the keyboard that changes that, I just don't know what command.

no problem, one time i thought i accidentally had inverted ALL my textures 
looked at the other side of them and went wtf...
it had few modes so i was sure, (usually pictures help) so you threw me off a bit when you said the silver line thing yet glad it helped haha.
