Four user titles exist for mappers and scripters:

Community Mapper and Community Scripter can be earned or requested (if you meet the requirements). The requirements for getting the titles are as follows:

Community Mapper:
- Must have released at least one map in the Non-UGX Map Releases section which has been added to the UGX Map Manager.  How to get your map into the UGX Map Manager

Community Scripter:
- Must have either released an approved (and later stickied) scripting tutorial in the Help Desk section or topic in the script downloads section of the forum or have demonstrated knowledge of scripting through a map release or scripting help replies.

If you believe you fit these requirements, please send a request to any of the staff members and we will process the request.

There has been some confusion lately about the Mapper requirements - since we are officially discontinuing the Map Manager with the new UGX Launcher soon, we are not adding any more maps to the Map Manager. Therefore it is impossible for anyone to fulfill the Map Manager release requirement. Some staff have been telling people that it's been changed to a UGX Launcher requirement now, but that's not exactly fair yet either since it's also impossible to fulfill that requirement at this time.

So for now, here is a temporary rule change.

Community Mapper:

You do realize any map will qualify to be on UGXL, right? Submission will be automated and we won't have to pick and choose like we used to do. So it's going to be like that regardless. Once UGXL comes out we will have a ton of stats we can work with to make some more interesting user group requirements based on download counts or map ratings etc. will make requirements for Mapper Elite a bit less subjective.

It is very clear that the community likes titles. I say make some more! Seriously the titles are like achievements. Makes me feel like I accomplished something other than wasting hours of my life
