Hi guys,  here is a new update:



Update #8 [November 21, 2015]

here are some pictures and some information about the features from the contest map,  it is almost done the map (I'm going to try tomorrow morning or tomorrow afternoon to prepare the map for the release)


Features:
* new endgame + extra
* different easter eggs (some are easy to find, some a little bit harder)
* buildable
* Riding minecart with perks
* fx's (some fx's with sounds)
* custom sounds (example: when the round start, custom sounds on guns, etc. )
* Oxygen masks
* objectives
* mission (escaping from the mine tunnel off course :D )
* and more...

I'd like to say this was a great map to play, but I can't. Turned my brightness up to max, no lights on in my room either, and I could barely see shit. It's probably just me, but Yeah, I could not progress either. I must be doing something wrong, if anyone knows what, I'd be glad to hear. ;)

with the red box you need to knife them and when the box lid rotates to open then after few seconds the door where the cable from the red box to the white box by the door wil open.

or if you are by the door and you look left down you will see a white box with a cable that is going to something else.

when you follow the cable you will see or find the red box then if you reach the red box then knife (melee) the box and in few seconds it will open the door.

Love this map. I love the claustrophobic, eerie feeling from the tight playing area and the darkness that's everywhere. Also pretty fun searching for the items to progress through the area as well. One thing I noticed was that the standard knifing swipe doesn't inflict damage or kill instantly, taking about a full second to kill or register. The lunging knife attack works fine though. Still it's a really fun map. Definitely gonna consider voting this one up.

Alright, just made it to Round 11. I feel obligated to explain some of the difficulties I'm having with this map.

I understand the "easteregg craze" that's been occurring on UGX lately. However, there's a fine line between an interesting, fun egg, and one that goes completely overboard. This map goes completely overboard.

It is so confusing and difficult to figure out how to progress: couple that with the very difficult first rounds into extreme easiness once you get to the training area...

And the oxygen mask needs to go. Terrible mechanic, absolutely frustrating and pointless. Just tax me 250 points every round :/

The fact that crawlers despawn and pop up as runners is just the final nail in the coffin. Impossible to explore or progress fully as it stands. I still have no clue wtf the numbers on the wall do.

I'm sorry for being harsh -- the map is really unique and innovative, I love the minecart, the lighting, and the setting... but it just really needs to be looked at in terms of user experience.

thank you for the comment,  I know about the knife I have 2 times changed and tried to fix the knife on the start weapon but it was not succesfull instead of that I have a second pistol that one is stronger and has a better knife to make it better playing.

I know that alot of people likes easter eggs xD but I'm trying to make it special and not like a normal ones that other people have etc.

I know that it is sometimes difficult but in this map, you need sometimes playing more to get it easier and have plans to you going to that :D

yeah maybe it would be difficult sometimes but I make it easier by it having on more locations to get and refuel the oxygen mask.

and there is also a buildable oxygen that increase the oxygen level to 200.

and sorry sometimes I like reality xD  :P 8)

sorry about that but, I have seen that there was a little problem with the spawners that they 2/10 not will spawning or moving but when they respawning then they will moving ?

yeah I know but some comments, hints/tips or advice is altimes welcome then I can making maps better for the next time, then I will try to focus more about the map :D.  I know sometimes are challenging maps funny,  but yeah everyone has they own awnser how they like a map off course ;)




Some Tips/Hints for playing the map:

1. Easter Egg:

there are 5 teddybears around the map and you can pickup the teddybear and you need to place them in the main section (the main section is the biggest area to survive where you also turn the main power on)

under the stairs where the power switch are (for the perks etc. ) and you will also see some wooden boxes and when you walk to it you will see that you can place teddybear there.

hint it will work but sometimes you need to figure out how can place them with the trigger that not alltimes working from the fixd hintstring :(


2.  buildable oxygen:

there are totally 4 parts in the map:   2x masks and 2x oxygen cylinder (bottle).

if you are in the main section and you walk by stairs to going down and then before you can left or right on the stairs you can also jump down if you going forward then directly on the right you will see the buildable table.

if you have placed the 4 parts then you purchase the Upgrade oxygen and it will increase your oxygen to 200 (also refueled)

you can purchase the upgrade ones and you will keep it the whole game untill you restart the map off course.


3. Numbers ?

it feels like bo1 mission xD no it is just a joke :D, but the numbers are as followed.

if you see a number with some square or squares then you need to keep it in your mind which number it is.

example:  if you see number 7 and 2 squares under it,  it means for the endgame code.


first you need to find the a fuse to connect the power on the code board. when you have found the fuse and activated the button you can try the numbers that you have find or just trying without you know something xD

the control code works from left to right.

blue knob = 1
yellow knob = 2
orange knob = 3
purple knob = 4

alright now about the numbers again,  I sayed that if we have number 7 and 2 squares then it will be like this:


the Yellow knob is the second knob and turning the knob self to number 7.



4. little help?

if you have pressed ESC then you will see a map layout or map indication, where what is :)

Played in windowed, had my screen's brightness all the way up, room I was in completely dark, but it was darn hard to see stuff. Looking at the responses from other people though, it seems I'm just very unlucky. Good luck on the voting.  ;)
