Hey guys, I wanted to make an announcment that I have been in talks with Bluntstuffy about creating a brand new Realism Mod. For those who are unfamiliar with Realism it is a Mod that once applied to a map players could choose a class such as Support, Engineer, Soldier or Medic and then level their character up by gaining XP through killing zombies and completing challenges. Here is a picture of the old Realism mod loadout menu.

Bluntstuffy is going to do his best to rebuild it from the ground up and make many needful changes along the way. I have rewritten the character classes and have made plans for more modern weaponry and perks. This is going to be quite a project but Blunt is a freakin' scripting Jiu Jitsu grandmaster and we think that we can make this a mod that everyone will enjoy.

What we need from the community though is ideas; not that every idea will be used, but they will all be considered. If you think that you have an serious idea that would make a better Realism experience then please comment below and let us know.

This is in the VERY early stages right now where Blunt and I are outlining all of our ideas, moving the pieces around, figuring out what will and won't work and really racking our brains to make this mod as fun as we can make it, so please be patient, but feel free to ask questions and offer suggestions. - There are about 38 guns in the mod at the moment, not including WWs. All of the guns have anywhere from 3-6 attachment options which have already been implemented in the Mod and are functional.
- The Character Class system is getting its wrinkles ironed out but is looking good.
- Each gun can be given 15 damage upgrades similar to Advanced Warfare.
- Stats: there will be a menu that you can access I believe anytime which will keep track of almost any stat you can think of: Kills, headshots, zombies gibbed, time played, melee kills, times prestiged, points spent, # of perks bought, doors bought, how many powerups you've picked up, how many times you've upgraded a gun, how many times you've used the mystery box, etc. We love our stat tracking : )

Alpha Testers Needed

The mod has reached a size and scale that has become too big for just a couple people to test. So what we need are people who have the time and energy to dedicate themselves to testing everything that this mod offers and report back to myself or BluntStuffy the problems that you find, or if something is not clear enough and you need help understanding it then let us know as well.

If you are selected as a tester we ask you to do these things:
-Try out each difficulty setting and play around with the different enemy types and give us feedback on how they feel.
-Try out each character class and try to prestige with each one or at least get as close as you can.
-Try out as many different weapons as you can and focus on completing the challenges that are assigned to each gun.
-As you unlock them use different gun attachment to get a feel for how they change the experience.
-How does the the in-game menu feel to upgrade your weapons, buy perks & buy attachments?
-Do you have any issues when trying to make purchases from the menu? Example: It's not letting me add an attachment even after I've completed the necessary challenge. OR It's not letting me upgrade my gun even though I have the money.
-Please do NOT record footage of the mod/map and upload it to YouTube or any other service like that. Please do not livestream it either or take screenshots and show people; I think you get the idea. Despite what you might think of me BluntStuffy is a good guy and is working very hard on making this project a success and any leaks would be very discouraging for both of us.


Please PM me if you are good at testing these things and have the time to devote to it. I may not get back with you right away but I will put your name on a list and get you a copy of the mod as soon as I am able.

Character Classes:
Here are the character classes that will be in the upcoming mod. Each class has a unique class specific perk that they will start with and cannot lose.

Medic/Sniper
With the Sniper he's a master of not only long range combat but he's proficient with his sidearm as well as being deadly with his knife. Your knife will be cutting throats like butter for a long time.
-Starts with Mele Mixture: Upgradable Knife
-Gets additional XP for reviving teamates as well as for pistol and sniper rifle kills.

Breacher
People often stay away from shotguns because you can't earn as many points with them. Well, we wanted to remove some of that stigma and encourage people to wield the shotgun without fear by reducing the cost of debris. Now go core out some chest cavities!
-Starts with Sale Ale: All doors and debris cost 25% less for this class
-Extra XP for shotgun kills

Assault
The Assault class gets from place to place quickly. Don't worry about saving up for a speed upgrade, with this guy speed kills right NOW!
-Starts with Lightweight - faster sprinting and longer sprint time than any other class.
-Extra XP for SMG & Assault Rifle kills

Tank
Nothing feels better than dealing out punishment to a horde of zombies, but punishing them for even touching you feels pretty damn good too.
-Starts with Self-defense - enemies take damage when they hit him and the zombie is dazed for a few seconds as well. Self-defense takes 10 seconds to recharge.
-Extra XP for LMG kills

Demolitionist
At the end of the day it's just more fun to watch things go BOOM! With the Demolitionist you'll be loaded down with explosives and without any fear of being too close to the action; so get in there and make some noise!
-Starts with Flack Jacket: Does not take explosive damage from any of his own weapons, does not take any fall damage.
-Extra XP for kills with all explosive weaponry and can carry extra explosives.


BluntStuffy is currently working on the map that the Realism Mod will release on and things are going very well. The map is looking very cool with lots of unique features and things that are just flat out fun to do. After we're happy with the way the map is looking he will finish up the Mod. No timetable on when it all is going to be released but we will keep you all informed and try to drop pics of the map now and then too.

Thank you to everyone who've been following this topic and is excited as we are to see this thing happen. I want to thank everyone who has helped alpha test the mod, it has helped tremendously. Also, a REALLY big thank you to JiffyNoodles and Nathiri as well as a guy named killerthekiller without your help this mod would have released with around 10 thousand bugs. You guys are awesome.

Update #5 Fully developed character classes  September 28th, 2016

Here are some pictures of what will most likely be the final versions to the character classes. If you look off to the right side of the screen you will see the perks that become available to the players as they level up their character. Each class will have two perks that are specific to that class which will make playing each class feel unique and exciting.
The 3rd Attachment & 4th Perk Slot aren't buyable perks merely features that unlock for the player once he reaches that level.

Once you select your character you will be able to choose your starting weapon based on your characters level. This screen will also allow you to see which attachments are available for each gun and what you must do to unlock them.

I am planning on releasing a video of some gameplay footage within the next day or two so stay tuned for more. This is happening guys and we're getting closer every day. Things are really coming together nicely and BluntStuffy and I are giggling like school girls each time a new feature makes it into the mod/map and it actually works  ;D Thanks for your continued patience and support as we try to bring this freaking HUGE project to a close....god willing...one of these days  ;)

Oh, one more thing. Regarding this Realism mod and the Greenhouse map as well I have thrown every idea and the kitchen sink at Blunt and he has some-freaking-how made it all happen (or else told me the idea was too stupid). So please throw some encouragement, even monetary encouragement, his way if you get the chance.

I suggest looking up what different grenade types are in BO2 MP, for example. Would be nice to see something like up-to-date bouncing betties and Black Hat

I am planning on having a "Demolitionist" class, so yea having a variety of grenade and other explosive options would be cool.

I can't for the life of me understand why this hasn't been done sooner. One of my biggest complaints with the current state of custom zombies is that after I have a zombie playing session for an hour or 2 I have nothing to show for it. With Realism you get to have the fun and your character is better than he was when you started.

Maybe each character class could have its own unique skill that need to be "recharged" after being used. Sorta like exo abilities from AW or the skills from Borderlands. I'm not sure what character classes you are planning on making but here are some examples:

Demolitionist Character skill: Nuke-like shock-waves that come outward from the character and kill anything in a certain radius for 5 secconds and takes 1 minute to recharge.

Marksman Character Skill: Auto aims on all enemies for 10 seconds and takes 1 minute to recharge.

Combat medic Character skill: A large bubble forms around the player that protects the player from zombies. Any Downed players that are enclosed in the bubble are instantly revived. Other players may enter the bubble and also be protected from zombies. Zombies group up around the bubble and when the skill ends, it "Pops" and kills the zombies close to the bubble. Lasts 15 seconds and takes 1 and a half minutes to recharge.

Assault Character skill: When activated, your weapon becomes full auto if it is not already. Weapons that are already full auto gain double damage. You also have a bottomless clip. This lasts for 15 seconds and takes 1 and a half minute to recharge.

You could even go even deeper and have skill trees like in borderlands. You unlock skill points somehow and can be used to make yourself more powerful.

This is just an idea, you can take it or leave it.  ;)

I really cant wait for this. I have spent hours upon hours playing realism(got rank 65 on final prestige). My only hopes for this one are that more custom weapons are added and said custom weapons are upgradable.

I'm already super hyped about this idea! I hope it doesn't get dropped!

As for suggestions, I think it would be cool for each class to get a special piece of equipment (along with a special ability MZslayer mentioned above), say like a sentry or trap for the Engineer, or a medigun for the Medic. Just an idea! I can't wait to see what you guys come up with!

There will be 5 different player/character models but as far as quotes...I doubt it. Maybe Blunt can weigh in on this.

if your happy to reduce the "quality" of the quotes, you can really ( and i mean REALLY ) reduce their size, giving you room to add a ton more in. Maybe something to consider

you could make it like they are talking through radios, to cover the lower quality

Ech. That rhino. Can hardly see any of the gun. The rest is pretty good. The stasis field could use a different fx though.

Thanks man, i'd like to point out that i havent bothered working on anything on the visual side so it all looks very chunky, there's prints all over the screen and stuff like that. The final product wont look anything like this, atm im focussing on implementing all feature's and making them work (together).

I also like to point out that the stats are player-specific ( so if you switch to another online-profile you can make another 'character' ), and also that all stats transfer between all maps that run the mod. ( just making sure for people that dont know the old mod )

Hey Bluntstuffy, I have an Idea. My Idea is something called Skill Points. Skill Points can be used to buy Power-ups or Upgrade your weapons. Skill Points can be achieve by kills, headshots, multikills and complete rounds/waves. For example, If you get 100 kills then you get 1 Skill Point. Get 50 headshots and you get 1 Skill Point. Multikills is 10 or more kills with One shot (Hint: Wunderwaffe, Thundergun, Rocket lauchers, grenades, monkeybombs. By completing a round/waves you get 1 Skill Point. This is my Idea. Send me a feedback.

The Tank class is going to get a bonus for using LMG's, ammo should be easy enough to come by as we are using a system similar to Advanced Warfare where you can upgrade your gun 15 times and each time you'll get a small damage upgrade and more ammo. We aren't 100% certain about the perk system as we don't want people to feel restricted/punished because they chose one class over another but we do want to give people a reason to try out each class.

how bout distance traveled? bosses killed? nades thrown, bullets shot, [easter eggs compleated (toggleable per map)], assists, melee missed, times you been that class, kdr (kill down/death ratio) per class, times restarted, and finally heighest round achieved

also a reset button may be in order, but have it be like bo2's prestiege system where you can perma unlock something.

Max Ammo - 10 Skill Points, Nuke - 8 Skill Points, Insta-kill - 7 Skill Points, Double Points - 5 Skill Points, Carpenter - 2 Skill Points, Fire Sale - 5 Skill Points, Bonfire Sale - 8 Skill Points, Death Machines - 5 Skill Points, Random Perk Bottles - 5 Skill Points. Maybe this is too expensive. But, It's just a suggestion. Besides, I think buyable power-ups should be expensive. I also mentioned using Skill Points to Upgrade your weapons. I was thinking 3 Skill Points for each upgrade. When I say Upgrade I mean damage upgrades, ammo upgrades, clip size upgrades. Say each time you buy Ammo Upgrade on your weapons, you get 20% more bullets/shots. Clip size upgrade will extend the clip size on your weapons. Each time you buy Clip size Upgrade on your weapons, you get 20% more bullets/shots in each clip. Damage upgrades will give you 20% more damage on your weapons each time you buy a Damage Upgrade. You might ask yourself. How many upgrades can you get for each weapon. In Ammo Upgrade - 5 or 10 times. In Clip size Upgrade - 5 or 10 times. In Damage Upgrade - 5 or 10 times. You can upgrade 5 to 10 times for each upgrade types.

I have come a long way, I don't weigh in on anyone person's side, i just add on to anyone's side, whoever pops off some shots at someone else, and i happen to see it, i just add something to it. Call me un-loyal, but whoever starts it, i usually join in with them, then most likely trade sides if shit hits the fan.
Anyway, back on Topic, I'm guessing there will be rewarding weapons that are unlocked at the highest level? (like the modern weapons in the Original Realism Mod)

I think this could be the Best Mod yet. I have probably played every mod in ugx-mods. But, After I watched Tomikaze's Update #v2 video. I think this is on a much higher level. I'm very excited about this. I think that the replay value on this will be very high. Good Job, Tomikaze & Bluntstuffy  :)

Thanks for the support, you did an awesome job back then! Glad you dont take offense in us 'stealing' your idea. Think of it as an hommage to your work, we'd love people to be able to experience a realism mod all over again. Just hope it wont get burried under BO3 customs  :(
And who knows, maybe this is a step up to my own software engineer-career, lol. With the amount of work involved it certainly feels like a job!

Yes, once Blunt finishes up a few more things like the custom perks and maybe a bit more of the objective then I'll need you and the rest of the crew, who still want to test it, to play through the Greenhouse map and let me know what problems you encounter or if anything is too confusing. I'm testing it like everyday to try to catch the obvious stuff but then I'll need your expertise after that  :D

Yea Jiffy, I need your special set of skills, those delicious bug finding skills.

Right now Blunt is scripting the custom perks but we are finding that some are OP and others need to be buffed so just getting those ironed out so that all classes are going to have really fun reasons to play them  ;)
I think once that is done then we'll all test the map while he finished the objectives.

We are hoping that other people want to make maps with the Realism Mod 3.0 on it but no one has approached me or Blunt expressing interest yet. Hopefully once we actually release it that will change though  ;)

Hey friends,
                 I just played a few coop games last night with UGX member MajorPwnege01 (so a big thanks to him for making the time to test with me) and we played on both the Nuketown and Industrial Estate maps and the very main important thing is that it NEVER CRASHED!!! Which means that I think we could be looking at a release for at least the Realism Nuketown map within a couple weeks. There still are a few issues but I think those can be ironed out relatively easily.

The Industrial Estate map has some problems with the map itself currently so as soon as those are fixed a version of that map will be released to the public as well.

Below is a link to a video where I show you how to install the Realism Mod 3.0 maps because it's a bit different than the way Realism 2.2 maps work.

It's still a work in progress. There's still lots of testing going on since it's really pushing the engine limits (which is good, it's absolutely packed with stuff to do)

I may release the Realism Nuketown version this next week. I think we're at a point with the mod where we realize that some people will be able to play it and some people won't. Hopefully most people will be able to get it to work but there is only so much that we can do; it's a mod that pushes the limits on every level and that's just the way it is.
I'll update this post when there is an official release.

After that will be the Industrial Estate Realism release which may have an easter egg that ties into the Greenhouse map. The Greenhouse map will then be released at some point after the Industrial Estate map.

If there is anyone who wants to make a map with the Realism Mod 3.0 on it please let me know and we will tell you have to do that.

One thing I did wonder as watched Relaxing play some of it was how are you expected to get Headshots with a Grenade Launcher? Perhaps Multi Kills [4 or more] would have been more suitable

Other than that I cannot wait for more maps to adopt this mod because it deserves huge respect purely for the time and effort that has gone into making it

Thanks man, we definitely spent a lot of time discussing what we though would be fun and designed it with many layers to uncover. The more time you put into it the more you will be rewarded with new guns, attachments, perks, and even some hidden surprises  ;D

Yea, good call  :-[   I don't think any attachments are unlocked with headshots on explosive guns which is good, but your multi kill idea is really awesome too. Maybe Blunt can do something with that...maybe not.

Yea, even though WAW is that used up, past her prime, to much time in the tanning booth, leathery old whore that you don't wanna put your dipstick into anymore we really are hoping that at least a few people will make maps for this mod or else add it to an existing map of theirs. In fact, I think they already trump W@W's tools in almost every aspect.
Plus, BO3 just looks better.

I replied on the video, but I get an unhandled exception error, causing the game to crash. It may linked to the T4M d3d9.dll but I don't know. It crashes a little more than 3/4s of the way when loading the map.

If you have t4m installed propperly and it's working, the version number in the main-menu screen on the bottom right should be 2.0.45. If that's the case and the game crashes during loading the map try lowering your texture settings.

If you dont have (working) t4m the version number will be something like 1.7..

For sure! The next map on the list is Steviewonder87's Industrial Estate. It wont be too long before that releases, not giving any ETA's but soon(ish)!
After that my Greenhouse map is up, and by then the mod should also be available for other mappers to use.

I misspoke, what I was getting at is the lack of things from within the stock maps - SoE rituals, DE Bows, most of the 'bosses' etc

Either way I still feel the content of WaW maps both past and present outweigh the current level of BO3 creations

More guns? MORE GUNS!?!?!?! There are already around 50 guns that can be upgraded and customized in a variety of ways and we actually had to take some guns out and the last one we cut was a Chrome PPSH with an under-barrel grenade launcher attachment and dual wield capabilities with special ammo where it shoots flaming kittens at the zombies. Damn, I wonder if it's too late to have Blunt add that back in  :-\

The Raygun Mark II is really OP, it killed the Panzer in 1 burst when I 1st fought him. Also the Panzer can instantly be killed by using the teleporter, is there any way you can make so he either stays where he was before or he teleports near you when you teleport?

I have an issue, just got to prestige 4 ,lvl 51 and it came up with exp to go -1 million 650 thousand. I thought nothing of it but later it got to -2 million then i got promoted to 52 lvl and for every 500 exp from that start of the issue lvl'ed me up as if i was always lvl 1.
So after it stopped lvl'ing me up i was lvl 222. Very odd was going for the haymaker prestige but now it wont let me prestige because of this.

There are already around 50 guns that can be upgraded and customized in a variety of ways and we actually had to take some guns out and the last one we cut was a Chrome PPSH with an under-barrel grenade launcher attachment and dual wield capabilities with special ammo where it shoots flaming kittens at the zombies. Damn, I wonder if it's too late to have Blunt add that back in  :-\

Yes, it is going to eventually be a standalone mod where anyone can put it on their own maps.

The Raygun Mark II is really OP, it killed the Panzer in 1 burst when I 1st fought him. Also the Panzer can instantly be killed by using the teleporter, is there any way you can make so he either stays where he was before or he teleports near you when you teleport?
The Raygun has been nerfed & the teleporter no longer kills him I can confirm that. Thanks for the feedback : )

I have an issue, just got to prestige 4 ,lvl 51 and it came up with exp to go -1 million 650 thousand. I thought nothing of it but later it got to -2 million then i got promoted to 52 lvl and for every 500 exp from that start of the issue lvl'ed me up as if i was always lvl 1.
So after it stopped lvl'ing me up i was lvl 222. Very odd was going for the haymaker prestige but now it wont let me prestige because of this.
Gosh, sorry to hear that. We will do our best to address this issue for the next release. You shouldn't lose any progress though so that is good.

Or did you actually activate the prestige, got prestige lvl5 and then in a new game it bugged out?

i'm aslo having this issue where Reach prestige 4 then After that went back to the menu and go into the map it's didnt prompt me the Prestige to next level then when kill a zombie you just level up and your rank is total noob.

Issue will be fixed in the next update. It will also allow you to prestige again then, so you can continue as normal.
You would just need to be a little patient for the next update, but it wont take too long..

Bluntstaffy I'm unsure about that PM thing so i'll say no i cant see them.

Also to reply to your answer it was all in one game from prestige 3 then restarted so i could go to 4 then lvled in one game to lvl 51 then it came up for a second maxed lvl but then said -1 million so on so on exp to go and well the rest i have explain already. To note after i quit and started a new game it kept promoting me non stop for every kill hence lvl 350, lvl 700 and then i stopped go way to annoying to play with the music of the promotion non stop. It also wouldn't let me prestige saying exp loaded but no option to melee to prestige.

To fix this i found no option on my own other then restarting / deleting my profile files in the map's directory to restart from prestige --  /  lvl1.

Hey i have a query, what are the exact parameters for the 25 headshots in a row challenge and the 200 consecutive pistol kills challenge. Is in define in a row? at the same time or in a set time? and 200 kills 1 with in 5 seconds of each other? in one round? if headshots effect this or not?

Those are the exact requirements, but make sure you have the last version of the mod! (version 1.1 )

Try lowering your texture settings to 'High' or even 'Normal"

Is there an estimated release date for the next map yet? Nuketown is fun and all but its the only map so it gets really repetitive, Also with the update the Easter Egg no longer ends the game like it did before, unless there is more to it now?

I have found that quitting the game clearing RAM and restarting car fix this, it usually happens to me if i was playing a different game and started COD to quickly.

Use the installer and use the same WaW-profile, and it should work

When i use both installers, one overwrites the other. That happen because both installers use the same folder. If i put the files in a different folder each mod has it level and experience. I already try to put all files together (not overwriting files with the same name)  on the same folder and use the map command (map map_name) to load the other map. That command load the map but no zombies appears.

It should overwrite it. Use the installer. Install it and play it, dont move files around etc.
