Hi looking for someone to test and give feedback for my map, Dale's Dock.
Size: medium

features:
black ops perks
ugx mod
zombie counter
power lights

It's my first map, so go easy on me :)

just extract to your mods folder, thanks guys everyone at ugx, tom-bmx, the testers; tomikaze and NGTzombies, and bamskater33 for making this map so much better :)

That's a pretty amazing effort for a first map, I'd say from the screenshots it would even surpass the quality of some experienced mapper's creations. :D Keep it up, looking forward to this release. :)

Thanks very much guys, where I am, there is a little trouble uploading (at school, they block the internet :( ), so I'm going to test it on lan with some friends here, and upload a copy a soon as possible. how do you guys suggest implementing moving platforms and how much detail do you put into the outside of the map?

Trebeltom1, I had a great time playing your map so far and I will no doubt play it more. It is a little on the easy side as there are a few really good camping spots and places to run trains, but as a solo gamer I really didn't mind. I love how you can choose how you want to open the map up depending on what kind of strategy you want you employ. A couple of things I did notice were that in the starting area, you can jump through window to the right of Quick Revive. In the area with Jug there is a car on the other side and if you go behind the car and hide in the corner the zombies all stop. The last thing I noticed was that on the third floor where Double Tap is, I ran up there with a small group of zombies behind me and they stopped before they got to the top and then turned around and ran back down and made no effort to follow me. The map isn't super pretty to look at, but it wouldn't stop me from killing quite a few more hours on it. Thanks for your hard work on this, I can't wait to see where you take it in the future.

i cant get it started because the title screen is messed up, i tried to bring up console and typed in the map name as usual for solo, is there a different command for solo

uh the map name for the console is ugx_install1, and the menu does have functionality, it just looks crap

yeah guys its my bad my asset manager or something is not converting the files correctly to iwi, i think its broken.... it says that create process for both failed... sorry, you can still click the buttons, but the image behind them is completely f**ked

UPDATE: for now i have reuploaded the ugx_install1.iwd (the console mapname.iwd) with the original ugx_mod_loadscreen_template.iwi and the same for menu, it now looks ok, although it says example mapname.... hope this isn't too much of an issue for now

You could use a third-party DDS to IWI converter if you think Assman is being problematic.

so i used tom bmx's converter, but it had the same result as assman.... I am saving as dds from Paint.net from the non-photoshop main menu and loadscreen, where do you think im going wrong?

I would imagine that unless you have heard of other people using Paint.net to produce DDS textures for CoD5, that the format is not the same as a true DDS image. Maybe try using a different photo editor with DDS support. Or check your Paint.net settings and make sure you are outputting the DDS correctly in the first place.

Phil, could you tell me which version of dds your saving it as, after you select save as, dds, there is a list of different types can you point me to the right one please, thanks

Well, I save it as DXT5 when I need an alpha channel, otherwise as DXT1. The rest of the options are default.

Just a random thought if it can't create the process maybe your not running the programs (converter and asset manager) as admin or maybe if you accidentally skipped one or 2 exes when installing the mod tools and didn't set them to run as windows xp sp3, hope this helps

so I just checked all of the batch files, asset manager and converter and copy assets exes and they are all windows service pack 3 and run as admin as appropriate... no luck..

this is a fantastic map I've played about 6 hours on it and its way more fun the black ops 2 zombies  there are some bugs like that phd flopper doesn't do much and that there's a lot of clutter laying around. but there are so many awesome features in it like gungame and all the new guns and the map looks very good. overall i would think this is borderline professional map

The guns, the layouts, the design and time taken to this map makes it the best map I have ever played!

Umm... read?

READ: to play solo type "map ugx_install1" into the console

ps: if the singleplayer button doesn't work, which it doesn't sometimes, just use console commands..., the single player name is ugx_install1

PS: The solo button will need to be fixed before this is eligible for the UGX Map Manager.

Just finished my first game on this map, one the best maps ive played in a long while, im addicted to Tyson's Tiger and XM9 Prototype Blaster :D. Im  going to donate to the map maker or the site later to day, For youre first map this is epic

i have never seen that happen to the map before, and i am fixing the singleplayer button right now and then will upload, ready for map manager, phd phlopper is gone because i checked the bamskater script and there is no functionality, so i am goin got writie it in for my next map..... The Tyson's Tiger and XM9 Blaster are part of the UGX Mod Standalone package that trebeltom1 installed to his map, Dale's Dock. I'm glad you enjoy them :) I spent quite a long time on that Tiger camo for the upgraded Desert Eagle, it was worth it though.  :gusta:

I feel kinda stupid posting this, but when I launch the mod and hit single-player, it loads right to the end of the bar then the game crashes completely. The error box says something like 'unknown exception'. Any ideas? Can post screenshots if that would help.

the script was not working, so i have removed it, but it will return in a map im releasing for testing next week

The map and menu work but the download has a lot of unnecessary files in it, and the main menu BG still says Example Mapname. I will clean up the zip file and make a quick background for it, then reupload it for you.

You sure everyone is using the correct version and has it installed correctly? Can everyone in your group play it alone in Singleplayer successfully?

It's weird because I played a 4 or 5 games with 3 and 4 players and it worked every time..do we know if this has happened with other maps??

Just put a gun game gameplay and sharp shooter on my YT channel. Holy crap it's fun. I love maps that have the UGX mod incorporated in it. Besides this and Comosea what are some other good maps that have the UGX mod in them? Also, one suggestion I would make to Gun game and sharpshooter is one more zombie entry point over by the door you can open that leads up to the bridge. It can be easy sometimes camping in that area on gun game and sharpshooter. Gets a little crazy sometimes, but you can hold them off. I love the guns and pack a punched guns in game gun! What are you doing Treyarch?

Had everyone remove everything from their Mods folder and re-download the map and still getting the error "exceeded limit of 400 fx assets" anytime we try to play co-op. :(

Have you tried Magnus Map yet? That has the UGX Mod on it, but as far as I know only 3 maps total have the Mod on it. There are a few more in the works if you check the WIP section on zombiemodding you can see them. If you find any others let me know, I am crazy about the UGX Mod.

Have you tried Magnus Map yet? That has the UGX Mod on it, but as far as I know only 3 maps total have the Mod on it. There are a few more in the works if you check the WIP section on zombiemodding you can see them. If you find any others let me know, I am crazy about the UGX Mod.

Me too. I love the mod! I have not tried Magnus, but I will for sure look into it! More people need to include this mod. Thanks.

Well good news and bad news... Since uploading your map to the Manager servers on March 9th, your map as been downloaded using the Manager 1662 times. That's 344GB of bandwidth in 9 days, which is 17% of our entire server bandwidth which needs to be used for over 20 maps and other downloads.

We're going to need to find a more generous download host...

In the mean time, the UGX Map Manager will be inoperable for the next 11 days.

currently looking at alternatives for download hosting, hopefully I'll find something with more bandwidth for not too much more $$.

im having an error downloading on ugx mod loader it keeps on missing out the pack a punched weapons  :alone: (how could this happen to me)

Had everyone remove everything from their Mods folder and re-download the map and still getting the error "exceeded limit of 400 fx assets" anytime we try to play co-op. :(

you can go out of starting are for free, just go to first debris, jump on to the sandbag, and then to the another debris (wire fence) and the zombies are spawning on the first area, and boom you can't die:D (just for fix :) )
