Never have I ever had a map make me research irl events of ww2 but yet here we are, and frankly doing so only enhanced my experience. The fact I can contextualize that we play as German soldiers who have found themselves in a horrible situation fighting off the mysterious undead during the irl rapid bombings that Russia laid apon on Berlin, admittingly makes me squeal with excitement (as wrong as I possibly am, or am looking too much into) Heck. Finding out the building you start out in is based off a real thing that you get to run around in hold a lot of passion.

Jesus I'm having trouble keeping this formal cause of how many cool little things I was able to sink my teeth into this map. Mind you I DO NOT say lightly, rarely ever I'll say this about a map.

I don't even have a lot of bad things to say even. I really dig the bombing rounds and I can appreciate some design decisions such as making them more aggressive later in the game, keeping players deal with the tight indoor areas. Or how PHD doesn't even protect you, thus keeping the bombings a real threat. I truly feel like a lot of people would've made you invulnerable to them. They add a real and very unique challenge we haven't even seen Treyarch even do in their maps. It's stuff like this that makes map stand out!

I never got lost, I was worried this map would have a proper "door-galore" issue but I quickly found out stuff like power and pap are relatively easy to find, and whilst the map does have a lot of doors, a lot of pathways do anyway progress you through the map in someway. Of course it's very experimental but it doesn't take long to learn.

The atmosphere is *amazing*, I don't want to ramble on too much or else I'll come across as extremely fan-boyish but to keep it short, you've gotten those old WAW feels absolutely on point. No room feels lacking in detail and the map feels creepy and disturbing as you tread through the broken city.

If I had anything but any nitpicks, I feel like the bo3 ui like perks and power ups are a bit distracting since they stand out from all of the maps other elements. But it doesn't ruin the experience:)

I didn't think people would still be making maps for waw, but seeing this proved me wrong, and it's even better to know that they are coming out with great quality. If this was the last thing we ever got out of waw customs, then I'd say it would be a great note to finish. Thank you for putting the time to create this!

Completing the map (finally) I feel like its much better for me to give my thoughts on the map and what I feel like this map did right and what could be improved on for next time (which I'll state as respectively as possible because I know how much work can be put into these maps)

Postives:

- First off, the map! I really do like how it was managed here. The skybox/time of day that was chosen for starters is quite unique, most maps tend to set themselves at night (with possibly snow) so its refreshing to see this map to take place at a dawn setting. Also it taking place at a division 9 facility of sorts was a cool touch too.

Oh and the size of the map is also very nice to run around in, nothing feels out of place, its very spacious despite the obstacles and it rarely ever feels slow to get across from
one point to the other

- I'll quickly scan over this one since I ain't fully aware of the box rotation, but the weapon choices are great. There are a lot of really good and powerful weapons to choose that can be easily be changed every game or coop games.

- The custom content featured here like the characters is always a very nice add on, certainly making the map its own adventure. As well as the custom trap which is super satisfying to kill a horde in. And the motherf***ing panzer suit makes you feel like a proper badass. I wont forget about the small detail changes too like the monkey bomb, perk bottles and pentagon thief having small changes on their models.

- The easter egg overall is enjoyable, each step is varied so it doesn't get repetitive, its easy to remember even though some searching is still involved behind it and clear progression can be made throughout it. Plus the final *custom* boss fight just ties it all together nicely.

- And I felt like the wonder weapon needed its own bit because its a lot of fun to use, it does feel super op but... I ain't complaining ;)

What I didn't like:

- Despite me liking the easter egg, I feel like there is one step that comes across as a slap in a face. The mine step. I know you've gotten complaints about this but I actually feel like its an ok step. The dogs are really weak and the mines beep (quite) loudly. My problem against it is how the dogs spawn in are louder than the mines, I often found myself killing a dog to get off my back to only hear another spawn which makes it a little un-needlessly complicated to find the mines.

My suggestions to fix this (if chosen to) are to just make the spawn sounds quieter or change them into something more quiet/quick

I also suggest giving players more time and giving the mines a glow to recognize them better since some hide out of sight or are hard to see from a distance

Overall?:

Absolutely great map, lots of details and custom content that you'll never find on any other bo1 custom map. It has its own experience for players to enjoy. I recommend this to any other bo1 pc user, especially any that enjoy easter eggs. Even completing it I find myself coming back to this with friends to mess around in. Fantastic work, my dude! Hope to see more stuff from you in th future!

An absolute amazing mod. its nice to see a 4th map released with this mod, it really brings in something new to the table of zombies.

Though sadly this mod greatly suffers from a graphical bug where the map and models would glitch out with stretched textures from off them. Or just random bits of glitched models that would appear and dissapear. Even zombies having this orange texture on them. This issue can be reduced by turning off specular maps and shadows but it doesnt fix it.

Unless this cant be fixed and preferred settings are requirel, then please inform me ^^

Ok first off, Im really digging this map right off the bat. The whole boat/oil rig (?) theme is very well excucated here, and it seems like what we seeing isnt everything we getting in this map. Id love to do a whole run down when the ee is solved and all that to give a fair-er review. But overall, Im enjoying it with all the bonus features that have been ported here  ^^

If I were to suggest anything though, I would rework the prices of the doors a little. They seem to go all over the place which (in my opinon) can slow the early rounds down. I dont mind expensive doors, but I think having them get more expensive the further you progress through the map is a better choice to go with.

Woah wait, I thought this was canceled ages ago!! Im so pleased to see that its finally released ^^ And does it sure deliver!

Seriously. The effort that was put into this is incredible, there is so much to say so I'll put these into bullet points

- Every area feels unique and seperated enough to give the illusion that you are truely teleporting to place to place. Heck they're big enough to be singular survival maps
- Whilst I think some weapons need a buff (espessially pap weapons) I think the variety is great
- One of my favourite details is that the sky boxes have another layer under them so clouds and sunsets are placed B)
- Plenty of rewarding secrets
- Once you get a general idea on what you're doing, its super simple (yet challenging) to know what your objective is

This map truely makes you feel like you're adventuring into different places, and whilst I did lazily bullet point them, the experiance is incredible. If I were to report one thing is that quick revive has an annoying bug where it would sometimes become unaccesable to buy (I think it happens when you attempt to buy it when you done have enough money/already have the perk) Hopefully this gets fixed but for now its avoidable.

I dont care what anyone says, this is certainly a 10/10 map. Thank you for completing this, I had a lot of fun playing this

Great map. Just that one boss (red one) it flips you out of the map sometimes. thats so annoying

Yeah that's meant to happen, just train him with the zombies (Of course keeping a distance) and you should be fine

Didn't you hear? Perish was cancelled because Hitman, the man himself, tripped on the mapfile and broke it :(

That Muppet should've looked where he was going...

Do gotta say, I was very impressed of this map. Its not everyday there is a custom map with custom quotes (we all gotta have a break from the OH RAH quote, do we?) I enjoyed the difficulty and the choice of weaponry, nice details such as when your teleporting back from pap you get your own little pod lol. I'm glad that a whole Easter egg is being added, its probably one of the final things which will greatly improve this map. Only complaint I would have to give out is that some parts of the map look a little bland, such as the buyable ending area is just a big room with smaller rooms inside and the area when you go up the stairs seems too big and there is nothing to fill it up with. Rest of the rooms like the underground area with pap and outside are well done to say the least. Overall, everything else in the map makes up for it just being on how unique it is, I had tons of fun playing this and hoping to play a lot more when more is added :)

Am I correct, but did you say you were going to add the 'fists' as a secondary starting weapon?

quick question, did you do something to Sarah Michelle Gellar as a playable character? Its no problem but I wanted to know what her little action was before playing the actual game (btw I love that idea) But it doesn't matter how many times I restarted the game it makes it seems its impossible to get her.

Anyone else have an issue where the little purple skulls disapear and you can only see them at random times? really annoying cause i just got the map and trying to find the easter egg out by myself without tutorial. If i missed somewhere where it's a known issue lemme know. Thanks

No there isn't an issue, that's exactly what they are meant to do.

sounds great! Cant wait to see it. Yeah, maybe that for the beginning for a map would've been a little complicated, I much prefer it where the characters all start at the docks because of the boat JFK was in just sank. Maybe a playable character easter egg where you can change into another person midgame (kinda like IW) But hey, the maps out now so I guess I gotta enjoy what I have :) (which is incredible as it is right now)

Simple enough, I always thought you were going to add in the COTD crew because I remember seeing some sort of question from you on how to implement the characters models of them lol
