Hello,
I have a question. Ive been having a problem where if an area is dark it make it look like this

But i WANT some areas to be dark, the link below is a picture of outbreak and i love how this half is pure darkness and the lights are on the building.

How can i make this happen without just not putting lights in the area?
Is there another way?

Modify worldspawn settings/vision file. Vision file that is set automatically is zombie_factory found in raw/vision. That way you can add contrast and such to map

and buddy for you problem i think you have to edit the sun and sun direction and the light intensity

however , i am not a pro mapper but glad to help

When you have one around your entire map it prevents some glitches with the lighting. sometimes you don't need it but it won't hurt having it just in case.

Thanks for the help guys and im following the page you linked me and i have two questions :
1.

"Adding the .vision to map assets
To enable your vision in a map, first you must add the .vision to your map's assets.
1.4 Map: Open Call of Duty World at War/zone_source/<mapname>_patch.csv
1.1 Map: Open Call of Duty World at War/zone_source/<mapname>.csv
Add this line to the top of the file:
rawfile,vision/<visionfilename>.vision
Save and close the file."

Does this mean i open both mapname and the patch and paste that line to the very top of both of them?

2.
"Enabling the .vision in your map
Now it is time to actually set the .vision file to be used in your map.
Open Call of Duty World at War/raw/maps/<mapname>.gsc in a text editor."

I dont have a gsc file of my mapname. What should i do? o.o


Also, im gonna put the caulk around my map and see if that helps the lighting situation

1st: only once, can be also added in mod.csv
2nd: did you use script placer? That should generate one. Might also be in raw/maps folder

1. Im not quite understanding what you mean. So i do both themapname and patch?
2. Yea im in the raw/maps and the csg file of mymap isnt there and i did use script placer z

It depends whether you created a 1.1 or 1.4 map with your scriptplacer. You only need to paste it to one of the files.

That's the thing a gsc file of my map isn't in that folder. I have some weird other formats that I can't open with notepad but I don't havegsc for my map and idk where to get it from
