I dont think so. In real life (based on the "first human" in the moon) you cant run/move fast when you're outside. But in BO1 Moon, you can walk almost normal, even run when you're outside.  :nyan:

If the water would be anything like the MUD from f*cking origins that slows down even the basic walking speed to PRONE SPEED then i would kill myself...maby thats only my opinion but there is no need for prone speeds in a game that is about running from zombies or just shooting them but still i rather run+shoot than pronewalk+die haha

I agree that there is no need for those types of speed restrictions in a game such as this, with one small change...it can encompass more then a quarter of the map as a whole, and not in any substantial chunks basically making a portion of the map almost unplayable...However, when i was in the Marines, sometimes i would walk through mud with my pack and weapon, and i would be bogged down worse then you could ever experience in origins...same thing when we would be practicing amphibious assaults...going through water with all that shit on blows a fat donkey dick...So i do believe that the water/mud, should slow you down, but if its going to be incapacitating, limit the amount to really small areas scattered across the map.

thanks we appreciate it and as for percentage I am not really sure, allot of the mapping is done but once the map is complete we still need to send it over to Pieman and Jbird who will do the scripting, features, easter egg and so on. Plus we will have to do testing, fix problems and optimize it - so I will say we are around 50%.

hellion2099 i know how running in water feels :D so can only imagine water+sand or mud, i bet its like quicksand. But sometimes realism takes away from a game rather than adding to it, and in a game with zombies dedicated to outrunning the enemy or survive, slowing the player down is almost a punishment after you open an expensive door.

I promise 200% that Pieman made sure the water is WAY different than the rest of the map, he worked really hard to make it special with scripts and visions and effects. To me all that hard effort would be thrown out the window if we put slow restricting and boring mud around the map making people not only slow but also DEAD as an direct result :) but if there is a big enough demand for mud i would suggest them go play origins again hehe

- honestly cant wait myself to trie it all out once its fully complete and released!

Rad...I get what you are saying, COMPLETELY...i think that they should have totally gotten rid of the muddy areas in origins personally because it covered something like 65% of the map (outside the crazy place), and jump around to get from point a to b, to not how a zombie map is supposed to be...And personally I really hope that there are no water/mud related hinderances in your guys' totally awesome map...but being underwater i can see that a small room here or there with like a switch in it, could indeed be knee to waste deep and in that case i would like a little realism...nothing game breaking though like in origins or shi no numa though.

Again though, i think you guys are doing an Amazing job, and i cannot wait to see and experience the finished product

yeah like a flooded room that actually has slight slowdown, just like a bit of water in call of the dead etc, loving that idea. That way the outside could always be its own thing, you jump higher move different etc, but the puddles sort of speak can make you think of either taking a risky path or a longer detour. Great suggestions right there! hehe

I designed the water like the gravity on moon, high jumps with little movement hindrance.  I actually need to make the jumps less intense because you get launched further then you do on moon when you jump.  Its not like the mud in origins, more like the low gravity on moon.
