Title: World at War Modification: T4M (r45)

Welp after a month or two I decided to release T4M in its current state. Mainly because all three developers will be getting back to school soon and not to mention we all have our own projects; so, lack of time is the main reason I'm releasing it in its current state.
Now about this "mod" what it does is load itself into World at War through DirectX (d3d9.dll) and does some fun stuff to do the game. This mod is to be used both by creators and users since if let's say a mod were to be released and it were to exceed a certain limit, the user needs the mod to be installed or they'll always hit that limit.
You need to own World at War on Steam or if you have the CD version w/ LanFixed exe that'll work too.
If you own WaW but through CD you will not be able to use this mod unless you get the LanFixed exe which is located in Notes #5 in the post.

The AI limit is related to networking, it stayed the same in BO1 and BO2 (even in MP it's set to 24 iirc). So increasing it isn't really a concern.

Wait, really? I swear that in some SP missions there are 40 ish AI running in the background. Are those just fakeAI or what?

Could be different in BO2 SP since it requires no networking for it then. But since Zombies is on MP exe it has to be ofc limited.

did you try editing this line? SetAILimit( 24 ); is in the _zombiemode.gsc

Yep, they are just fake AI.
They mindlessly go forward to their doom. Not knowing when to fire at the enemy. Or worse. When to react to ANYTHING.

would the maker of the map to exe thing (what you do when you release a map) implement a feature to install this with it so people who downlaod the maps don't have to do  anything manually because it seems people are very noobish when it comes to installing things

yeah, Well, I DID mention this when you were gonna cancel the WAW version and use for BO ::)

Root = start of the folder :/ so (/Call of Duty World at War)

I think I remember hearing it only works with Steam version? Could be wrong, but that might make the mod a bit of an issue...

disc version actually disallows all forms injection include debuggers you'll have to use the steam exe can use the Lan fixed exe too.

Strange. When I opened up the root, it was empty. Is that normal for STEAM WAW

didnt seem to work for me: dll is placed in root directory, im using steam version of waw, i added a soundaliase that always puts me over the memory limit, when i run the map both the game and the console crash

1 sec, just found out u only increased mem limit by 28mb, im sure the sounalies is smaller, but i have removed 3/4 of sound just to be sure, i will let u know how it goes

Edit: now the fullscreen code i put in made the game appear one side of the screen (IE Im currently playing WAW on the Left side but using UGX on the right side)

the mod loads and plays fine using ur mod, but if i go over the normal mem limit even a bit, ur mod makes no diffrence

Memory Limit is different since it's a failing of VirtualAlloc if you still get it after the patch then that means you just have too much in your mod.

If not then no.

And yes it's for Steam only (or Lan Fixed exe).

I got 2 problems:
In small maps like Kino (agrand's kino) Im getting lag spikes in the starting room which never happened before installing the mod, while 2 big maps (sumpf v3 and Overrun) refuse to even load.

and 2 I put in the code to fix the full screen and now i can see half of my desktop during playing (Game on left side, Desktop on Rightside)

Im getting worried that the mod lowered the limits instead of improving.

1) Check console?
2) Well max your screen resolution to take up your entire screen.
3) It didn't lower.

I'm experiencing problems trying to get my in-game view to be brighter. The slider no longer works (*as in, moving the slider around doesn't affect the in-game brightness) and its made one or two maps a bit too dark for my liking.

The brightnes slider never works for me in windowed mode, just in full-screen mode.. The fact that this is basicly windowed mode will prob be the issue. Not sure if there's an ( easy ) fix..

ah, considering I'm not really the demographic for the non-fullscreen mode I've gone and reverted back to fullscreen 1. Thanks for getting back to me =^)

After installing this mod, my map started to get regular freezes all the time, and massive framerate drops when doing anything from buying guns to killing zombies to picking up drops, uninstalling the mod was the only fix.

After adding the latest version, there is now a mod called "." in the mod list. Looks like its because the mod has a number infront of the folder name but not 100% sure.

I thought I was the only who saw this but guess not, regardless don't know what causes this. May have to rewrite the feederlist or the uiscript but that's really irritating. It doesn't really "break" anything so I'll just leave it alone for a while.

dude this is sweet, no more worries about fx or sound limit, I was probably bout to hit material limit too. and god damn I thought ugx was pulling a stunt increasing their weapon limit from 128 to 136 or whatever, but wow yours is really 320??? and a solo scoreboard that isn't just a remake, its actually the real thing in solo?? this is amazing. and the notetrack fix, don't even get me started on how awesome that is.

Doesn't crash here. Though it throws an ntdll error which is related to bad code in WaW.

Then why does it happen to me? I don't remember this happening with old versions of the mod...

Different kinds of Errors but none are affecting the gameplay in a way. Next time Im on WAW I'll go through my maps and make a list

Every launch I reset to spec maps on, textures automatic, res 1080, and antialias 4x.

Code for it is still on the git, but I guess that since no one seemed to need it, it wasn't raised.

Could increase any asset but it still doesn't fix the likelihood of getting the G_Spawn error. I tried messing with it but it threw Segfault's when I had modified the size so either I'm missing other locations or it's impossible to change.

I've built a new version with the xmodel asset set to 2000 (which is double the size so it may or may not be bad). I'll shoot you a build once I test its stability.

G_Spawn stops at 1022 entities.

Edit: Well segfault was stopped but it still throws the error and there seems to be something else with it since it throws an error at       boneCount = *(_BYTE *)(v6 + 4) + v5; (0x00608DD8)
Fails on these instructions: movzx   ecx, byte ptr [ebp+4] (0x00608DD8 leads to the movzx)
Edit2: Something to do with the counting of bones, don't know if I'll be able to fix it or not. I'll try asking around for help since I still suck at memory stuff.

Edit3: Giving up on that too interconnected with the game and not just a simple change to both array and number will fix it.

for me i use the cd version so i had installed lanfix but with normal cod5 i have max fps in ultra (gtx 960m) but with your version i have around 22 fps at nacht der untoten in ultra... i don't know why

edit : Sorry that's fixed... that was just .exe who choose graphics board integrated... so that's normal :)

after many test i just found 1 very very little bug in console it say t39 not t40 ^^ great mod! ti's certainely one of the best!

r42 - Minor bug fixes (Com_Printf), bool DVar for External Console (r_externalconsole) increased memory limit to 0x19600000, disabled/fixed "Safe Mode" and "Recommended Settings" pop-ups, added new FastFile to load queue if using a mod and there is a FastFile named "mod_ex" it'll load after mod.

Just work in menu files instead of spawning the HUD from script. UGX Mod's HUD is completely menu file driven to avoid the limit you're talking about.

Is there a way to have the .ddl file manually installed to the world at war root when you download a map that comes with it? Or is it possible to have it integrated into the UGX mod helper app?

Because, I just had to install it to get past the annoying memory limit and I would rather everyone who downloads the map automatically have that file installed so I won't get 500 "bugs" about the memory limit error on release.

Well about it being included since the dll is always going through modifications it wouldn't be right to include it in a installer, unless the installer would pull the updated link every time or someone would host the dll on their server then it could be downloaded straight from there.

Only reason I haven't made an installer or something of that note is because this is still a W.I.P. it's released under its current state in order to find issues/requests people want before I release a major version.

Unknown.

Mainly because I don't want people to release their own version of the mod that can contain malware. There are scumbaggy people out there which is why I've taken the decision to halt pushing updates for now.

You can build an uber outdated one yeah sure. It won't have the same things as the one I'm working on. So, you could easily tell if one is running an outdated build or not.

Edit: Reason being is it's an array that's connected to a bunch of other functions.

For some reason everytime I start WaW, it puts the resolution to 2 steps lower than what I use. I change it, save it and after playing, I quit. Then I start WaW again and its again at the lower resolution. Didnt happen on older version

Not happening to me? Try backing up your CFG in Appdata and deleting it?

Check config to see if it's read only. Also check to see if it's updated inside if it isn't (r_mode).

2) Use either the internal/external console to change how many points I have (even if I need sv_cheats to be true)

Also, perhaps you can make a new addition to this mod: allowing players to make macros for typing stuff in chat. Specifically, I want to have a button put a lenny into the chat (does W@W's chat even support unicode? If not, perhaps that's another spot for modification)

Well, that sucks. Is there any way I can do so without doing my own scripting (which, knowing my knowledge of non-Java programming languages, will make my computer implode)?

The function that it's called from is ScrCmd_detach which is a GSC function.

Well about it being included since the dll is always going through modifications it wouldn't be right to include it in a installer, unless the installer would pull the updated link every time or someone would host the dll on their server then it could be downloaded straight from there.

Only reason I haven't made an installer or something of that note is because this is still a W.I.P. it's released under its current state in order to find issues/requests people want before I release a major version.

I seriously don't understand how people don't understand "place it in your WaW root folder". How does that not make sense?

And as rementioned by Harry the DLL is changing every so often and when there's an update there's some beneficiary stuff added into it. I don't want people to be stuck in an older version.

Add a auto updater. It should not be to hard. If you need file hosting just PM me and I can give you some of mine :P Also can you unlock the third-person dvars please?

I've avoided this for some time, until after orbit, cause I want to get it in under the limits, fear of the unknown, and whatever. I dl'd it for some comp map, which i didn't even play, but when I loaded orbit later to test I noticed that the strange random issues I was having were gone...  :o It didn't load steam and I could test without signing on and off and having hunk error issues.

Now I am in love and wonder if there are plans to add this to any map installers? I think that would be even better than creating an installer for just this. I love this mod too! I'm always hitting unexpected errors and limits and this mod kills them all. I love not having to worry about limits, it let's you unlock your imagination and do things you normally can't.   :D

The Steam thing is a byproduct of the ability to test while a debugger was attached to the process.

I've heard cases of textures going haywire but I haven't had those myself and to be honest I don't think I'll be able to fix that sort of issue as that deals with the rendering which is way past dll modification.

As for installers I generally wouldn't recommend it just in case I ever push an update and the DLL's that are shipped are overwritten with an out-of-date one.

I might give that updater thing a lookie but no idea if I'll do it.

The dll mod is stable currently and works as intended it could use more features but that requires time and effort which I've been lacking this past month.

About consensus I've seen some YouTubers having it in their games because I can see their version numbers at the main menu though I'm unsure of how many people have used the dll for their maps.

Yeah, I had the flame thrower cause a plane of scorch texture to show up across the map, lol. Don't know if it was the dll or what but never happened before. I think I'll continue trying to keep it under the limits. But it is definitely nice to have for development. Thanks.

You can use SE2Dev's game_mod on github to have access to that and more. Compile it and launcher_ldr and use that to launch the game.

In the appdata folder delete the __CoDWaW file or whatever it is and try again.

It should stop resetting, in one version I just disabled the function calls for the reset/optimization so it shouldn't occur anymore as I never got it to reset for me.

Is there any way you can get World at War to forget about previous hintstring values on restart(and add it to T4M (if it is possible) if it can't be done via script)?

For context, my mod changes the cost of weapon and perk machines based off of the gamemode and the difficulty. If you restart the map with different settings(gamemode and/or difficulty) about 4-5ish times, this happens:

Just copy paste weapon files until you hit the limit! Make sure to account for the 5-7 default ones that exist in common.ff

The folder was cleared except for mods.

It's not as much as it's resetting, but even when the config is read-only it just accepts default settings every launch.

Been using the T4M during dev but removing it once in a while to see it my map still works without it. Its been great but then yesterday I tried removing it and now the map crashes as soon as you tell it to start:

I've delete my mod each time before building fresh.
I have 80 weapons in the map. I've tried getting a log, but it just crashes without the T4M. I don't mind requiring it, but I would like to figure out why I need it all of a sudden because I've been working pretty hard to not need it.

What else could the T4M be providing for me that would crash the game without it. I keep feeling its fx related but I removed several guns and additionally 10 fx and materials to go with them.

Check to see if your footsteps fx are at the bottom of your zone_source/english/asset list/mapname.csv. No footsteps can cause a crash.
Right before I hit memory limits/crash with t4m I get a random footstep csc error but my footsteps still work.
I even rewrote the footstep function to be less lines/characters thinking it was something to do will all the checks while loading to see if footsteps exist.

Damn if you didn't help me figure it out. I added a whole bunch of sounds back in and swear I tested it since but I guess I didn't. I removed those sounds and deleted my mod, and built again and wala.  Thanks man!

Edit: I also removed the moon zombies when I tested. When I put them back in it crashes again. What do you think is causing that?

When i put the sounds back in, it still crashes with the moon zombies out. So, I'm over something here.

have you talked to UGX about getting this to be an option on the map installer? Like when u are building it you can choose to include the T4M mod so the people don't have to install it, as there are a shit ton of nubs who are too lazy or not very computer capable to install it themselves? And add a check box to install it when the people are installing the map, which will include the version next to it so if they have it they can uncheck the box... idk if this was suggested but figured i would say it anyways

Is there a known fix for the vertex positions of meshes getting messed up? For some reason I can't take screenshots but there are a ton of wierd glitches where vertexes of models are getting displaced like entire bridges and meshes disappearing, expanding across the entire map, or just looking like a bunch of spaghetti. I actually was about to post this but I tried to go into windowed mode to get a screenshot and it doesnt seem to have the bug in windowed mode, oddly enough. So the new windowed fullscreen mode is a good workaround. This mod totally breaks fullscreen mode though, which is bad because I have friends that can't play in windowed mode due to the extra resources being taken up.

On fullscreen mode I can get it to consistently happen on some normal maps. I just found out that I get vertex glitches on windowed borderless mode as well for UGX 1.1 maps. Some screenshots. (Note the table in 2 is missing from 1 entirely)

Bumped to r43 included the listassetpool feature that shows you the current asset usage from loaded data/fastfiles.
Renamed r_externalconsole to con_external auto-default as 0.

Hi I'm running 1.7 lan fix fine in coop lan as soon as I add this file I get server authentication  failure.  Can you please asist me in fixing this error
Can a dev take a look at this? I am getting similar results with my mates, map is Lavender town: https://ugx-mods.com/forum/index.php?topic=9018.0

We can get to lobby perfectly but once we load people get hung up at loading and will be booted to main menu with "Authentication error". Other maps w/o this mod run good. Tried also older revisions but no luck!  :'(

Yes, but it doesn't really have anything to do with this. You can set the fov in your dvars list in your onPlayerConnect_clientDvars() function in your _zombiemode.gsc. I am not 100 percent sure what will happen when they go to laststand, and get back up or respawn, so you will have to test that.

I was referring to other maps. I dont mind if it gets changed by a mapper. I would just like to set it to what I prefer if they don't already have it set. I'll just bind the fov command to my forward key for now. Just thought there might be a more elegant solution

Originally I had it as saved but setclientdvar overwrites cg_fov because of how the function works. Sadly the mapper has to remove that connect function to stop it getting overwritten everytime.

Just got the lanfixed version works good now. I just put the lanfixed version in my root directory and just renamed it CoDWaW LanFix.exe and it works perfectly now. Thanks for the help  DidUknowiPwn. :)

I updated from he r 42.1 because I had an invisible start button and my start button is still invisible I am on the steam version so I have everything in correctly but I cant ever start a new ugx mod map bc there is no start button

When I have two machines loaded with CodWaWLanfixed and I have the one that is 'online' host a lan lobby, the player on the  other machine can join, but it says 'Server Authentication Failed' when I load into any map. Ech this issue should have prevented itself from happening anymore.

There's a file in your appdata folder for waw that's a hidden file named _CoDWaW or so delete that then relaunch if it doesn't work I'll have to remove the code and upload a new version for you.

same problem, only when I change my settings they always revert to default settings every time I relaunch WAW

With R43 I've noticed one big problem for myself, and that is each time I go to launch my game up it just ends the process completely, no crash report, no WaW window, no nothing, that's all that happens, I used to use 42.1 and it worked fine, and it works fine without T4M r43. If you have a fix I'd love to know. Thanks

Hey there, sorry to disturbing, but, I have a little problem with this mod:

See, I put the .dll to my game folder, I've got it by cd, got LanFixed.exe, put the .dll, but it crashed when it's retrieving account, which I don't even have nothing at all.

I deleted it, and when I download the entire game and installed all the patches and then got LanFixed and put the .dll, it still doesn't work, still Retrieving account and it crashes itself, I restar my pc and all, but still no solution, I've been looking for a solution, but still don't find anything, maybe some of you guys or even the creator of the mod help me out with this? Or at least can it tell me if it really is adaptable for LanFix.exe? Cuz I still don't see it works at all, for the comments I saw. Not complaining at all, just want a solution, that's all.

tried changing your user settings to not load a profile then making a new one?

one of my profiles makes waw crash, thats why youll see me as harrybo22

mine still does crash if i click change profile in game, i had to edit the config to load the other

I did that, but still crashes, I reprogram the entire game and I tried to do it by lots of name users to pass by, but still says "retreiving account" and seconds later -shut down-

So that's why I need to know if it is really for LanFix users and if it is, how I can make it funtional

Any ideas of a disappearing d3d9.dll file.

Steps:
1) Downloaded the rar file
2) extract to root of waw folder.
3) Start game and it works for that game.
4) Finish game, turn off computer.
5) Power on computer navigate to my waw folder and d3d9.dll is gone.

I've checked my anti virus and nothing is in quarantine.

The only thing i can think of is Steam is checking the game files and replacing them?

Any help appreciated.

First there should be no d3d9.dll folder the file should just be placed in the root of your Call of Duty World at War folder.

example location:  C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Call of Duty World at War

Steps:

1) download T4M r42.1 [release].rar
2) open T4M r42.1 [release].rar file (make sure you have software to open rar files {winrar,winzip,etc})
3) navigate to your Call of Duty World at War folder using explorer and drag the d3d9.dll into the folder.

I had troubles with my d3d9.dll file disappearing from my folder.  To correct this I made the d3d9.dll file read only and it's been working ever since.

The AI limit is related to networking, it stayed the same in BO1 and BO2 (even in MP it's set to 24 iirc). So increasing it isn't really a concern.

g_ListEntity only outputs the entity class while you have it enabled as it goes back to 0.

This is for checking in real-time rather than having to go through enabling the var and getting output from it.

It doesn't freeze your entire PC, WaW is running by slowly behind due to assets being flushed is wonky.

I always get this error message when I try to play a map with T4M (r43) ran out of memory, DIRECT3D9 error, and just crashes please help :'(

   Added "total ents" counter in cg_drawfps 2 (is used for checking how many entities are spawned currently, hitting the max = g_spawn error)
   Removed cg_drawfps 3

Whenever I load the game with the mod installed I can host a lobby with friends, but the friends who have the mod installed can't join me, and when I try to play with others it kicks me out of loading at about 99% to the online profile screen.

I found a big bug  :alone:
If you try to use LanFixed/LanFixed2 to run two separate games on two seperate PCs running T4M plus lanfixed (Testing on one PC for this time, really does not make a difference), my game will crash upon launching the map.
Pretty much LanFixed + Co-op does not work.

My game is bugged to no end, the T4M doesnt really work with some of the maps still, when i play something like Lavender town, or industrial state and it has has messed up textures, the zombies look like squares and lines and even my gun model is messed up, i have tried to uninstall and reinstall and ive even tried deleting everything off WAW, if you are able to help me, that be really appreciated. Thanks.

Did you try turning down your graphical settings and turning off specular maps, etc?

If all of that doesn't work I'm guessing you're running Windows 10? That seems to have some issues with WAW/T4M I think.

Sorry if this is not right here but I not seen a section of Modifications ideas. Move the post to their site. It would be possible modification like this to allow recording demos in coop as MP or COD4. That would be a revolution for the world of gameplays. There are a lots of MovieConfig from COD4 and all are compatible with.
Some examples of what could be achieved:

i have tried 4 difrent lan fixes all give the same problem with the t4m with out the t4m all the maps work via coop except the maps that uses t4m those onse i cant play

T4M not work with LANFIX, only with original game.

Please, for the love of god fix this. If you haven't noticed, you know the dialogue that pops up saying your computer has changed and it wants to put on default system settings? The prompt never opens, T4M removes the prompt and it automatically resets the settings.

And vinnyz500 when it resets on literally every launch, it sucks when you have to relaunch the game to reload the mod then go through the same shit every time. I cant directly devmap it if I don't want all the settings to be reset.

Can you please tell me what am I doing wrong?
I can't start the game when I join to someone with T4M (server authentication failure) but when I remove T4M I don't have this error and I can play without any problems?

I have windows 10 steam. I also tried to play on maps like Dead Ship and Quizz_v2 without T4M and got an error about 400 fx so that's why I want to play with T4M.

I'm using Tunngle in order to play with my friend (he doesn't have steam version but I could play with him when I didn't have T4M installed).

I tried to launch the game from steam, CODWaW.exe and CoDWaW LanFixed.exe from the root directory and still getting this error.

When I go to open the LanFixed.exe it says it cant open because binkw32.dll is missing but its in my CoDWaW root folder?

I fixed that issue by moving the LanFixed.exe into my root folder. Now when I go and launch Oil Rig is says - Direct3DDevice9::Present failed: An undetermined error occured

I apologize for my scrubbyness but I can't seem to get T4M to work. Without the .dll in my root folder, the game runs smoothly and launches without any issues. However, as soon as I drop the file in and go to launch my World at War (Steam version, by the way), the game crashes before I even have the chance to finish blinking. This is the message I receive:

Does anyone know how to fix server authentication error?  My friend tried making a profile but it just wouldn't stick, I could host a game, and he'd join (This is on LAN using hamachi), but when I started loading up the map he'd get kicked out with the screen of "make an online profile" and then server authentication error. Any fixes for this yet?

You need to own World at War on Steam or if you CD w/ LanFixed exe that'll work too.
If you own WaW but through CD you will not be able to use this mod unless you get the LanFixed exe which is located in Notes #5 in the post.

Just tried it and it still seems to be crashing, I think it's just being rejected altogether

Whenever i load up the game, (Lanfix version) The game itself works fine, but when i go to my mods folder, none of my mods appear.

I have the steam version, and I'm still trying to get this to work, but the game just crashes on me when I add t4m in, doesn't even show it launching on steam, it used to work but then I think I may have updated/installed something which made it conflict. I'm not sure but I just wanna fix this

ok i was having trouble trying to use this t4m. i have a nonsteam version. my version already had the lanfix exe file. So i launched  it and presto. t4m finally is showing up when i go into console mod. I can now run mods that use it. So for nonsteam users either run the lanfix file or download the lanfix exe file and launch it. Should work

Got to launch a map and its extremely laggy, my PC should easily be able to handle it and hit 90 but I only hit like 60 if I look at the floor even on der riese, its odd.

Okay, I am new to this site, and I've read through a lot of the pages on the T4M forum. I might have missed someone say something about it, and please don't hate me if I did  :derp:, but is there any way to use an Xbox 360 Controller with maps that require T4M? I use a laptop, and yes, I absolutely cannot afford even a new mouse to use for my laptop. The one I use doesn't work.

If one wants to use this alongside something like ReShade, which also uses a d3d9 dll, what would be the best course of action? I have tried merging the libraries using ILMerge but ILMerge for some reason cannot load/read the T4M dll file, and I have no clue how to use LoadLibrary() API to load the files manually. Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

Ifigured it out. Been trying to start maps without crashing for about a week. What i did was take off spec maps, and set manual textures to all normal and they finally ran. Try it out and if it works for you pls share

I had the same problem , I fixed it without deleting the game but I don't remember 100% how to do it I think it has something to do with %appdata%

Me and a friend of mine are playing with the CD-versions of the game (patched to 1.7.1263). We downloaded the lanfixed.exe but whenever we try to join oneanothers game we get a "Server authentication failure" error. Note that in the 1.7.1263 patch the lanfixed exe works fine.
Any advice??

Lanfix only for cd. If you had the game from steam then you dont need to install lanfix

This is how it should be. How i tryed to say, i have the steam version and i tryed to start the map without the LanFix and all what i got is a crash. We both use the same LanFix and we both have diffrend versions ingame in the right side down. We guess that this is the answer why he get kicked from my lobby when he tryed to join.

Same Problem about playing CoOp here

Singleplayer works with T4M Mod, but in CoOp, the clients get the "Server authentication failure" Error.
The Game is the (ORIGINAL) DVD Version, so it requires the LANFIX. The Game shows Version 2.0.45.
Game Files on Host and Client are identical. Plaing CoOp works fine without T4M Mod.
Not only the T4M Maps, but every Map aren't CoOp capable since installing T4M.

I definitely want to use T4M, one problem... I always get the "Server Authentication Failure" problem when i want to join with a friend (or other way around). We both have CD-version of the game, patched to 1.7.1263 with lanfixed exe. Whitout T4M it works perfectly. But when we install T4M it gets us back to the "Server Authentication Failure"

Any solutions?

After placing the .dll into the WaW root folder, launching the game on through steam just doesn't open the game at all. Iv tried running WaW as admin, everything like that. But it just seems like the .dll makes the game crash on startup, after deleting the .dll it works fine. Is there a fix for this or what?

There is no original just delete the t4m one. I haven't had any issues. Hard to see any difference though on stock content.

Pls help. After installing T4M my game keeps freezing after a few minutes of gameplay. Anyone have any solution to this? Does anyone also know how to uninstall mods? I tried deleting the folders, but they are still in my list of mods on CoD.

Still is a poorly made extension or whatever it is supposed to be.  I still reach the stupid G_spawn error, mostly when using a shotgun.  With using it, I can see it is useless, due to seeing no change within using it and not. I also have the same exact console box, the only difference is 'T4M' in the top left.  So making and distributing the extension is as useless as trying to drown a fish.

A g-spawn has nothing to do with using t4m or not, t4m mainly increases the asset-limits when you create a map. That has nothing to do with g-spawns. Yes, you can actually activate an external console, and there's much more usefull features, but i'm not going to bother mentioning them since you clearly dont know what to do with them anyway..  :facepalm2:

If youre referring to the standalone nu37own map, yes i did. Did not help. But my main issue is that I figured putting in the lanfix.exe would solve the issue because i thought t4m simply wasnt working. Lo and behold, t4m is active in the console but there are ZERO mods in the mod menu

I don't complain on ever post I make.  Proof?  Just look at all of my posts on the forum.
I know how to use it fyi, but the thing screwed my game.  Like, it was working fine, no problems for more n' a year, then it suddenly screws up.
It couldn't be me because I don't ever mod anything, or try to make mods, excluding changing a few weapon stats for some maps.

A quick update on the F12 crash - the error is directly related to the in-game screenshot function. Simply unbinding the key in the in-game menu is enough to prevent crashes.

did you try editing this line? SetAILimit( 24 ); is in the _zombiemode.gsc

modifying this line crashes the game the second it hits over 24 ai units there must be another line somewhere else calling the value 24

We do not support pirated copies of the game and custom zombies is known to have issues with them. It is reccomended to just buy the game.

I also keep getting "Server authentication failure" error everytime we try to play. We use latest version with Lanfixed exe.

Steps to reproduce:
1. copy d3d9.dll (T4M r45) and Lanfixed exe (1.7) into WAW root folder
2. we start the game
3. One of us hosts a zombie lobby
4. the other one joins, everything works perfectly up until this point
5. The host starts the game
6. The host's game loads all the way through, and a "Ready" text is displayed next to host's name in green, indicating it's successfully loaded and is now waiting for the client to finish loading
7. while client is halfway through loading map, client's game forcefully quits into server browser with the error "Server authentication failure"

Is this ever going to be fixed? Has this ever gotten looked into?
Problem is that apparently nobody can play T4M on LAN or virtual LAN (e.g. Tunngle).

Dude, thank you! I tried reaper's map pack (fortress) and it really works over virtual LAN (EvolveHQ). I don't know where you found this but it's great. Maybe some time I will try to compile the source myself. Though, I suspect that the source itself was written specifically for r41.

For anyone having this kind of error, at least i fixed mine using compatibility mode for windows xp sp3 on the codwaw.exe

I am trying to use this mod because one of the UGX maps me and my friend want to play need it (apperently). However, when I install it, it just crashes my game. Not sure why. But without this mod, the crash report. after trying to start the map up, says that it needs more memory. So I tried downloading this mod and installed excatly how it said. Now the game crashed on startup. Please help me so my friend and I can enjoy a nice game of zombies.

When T4M r45 is installed the opening cutscene to the game is skipped. Please fix this if you can, the opening cutscene is crucial to the games aesthetic and it's hard to live without this mod. O0

sorry if u already answer this but i couldn't find nothing about it, everytime I start a custom map (schloss der toten) does the "unhandled exception caught" even when I have this in my COD directory, what's the problem about it?

I remember trying to get T4M with my friends. Apparently it never worked for us.
I think the reason for this is because we had to German steam version & we were forced to download the uncut patches etc. in order to be able to play custom zombies
together. Is there any way for us to still be able to get T4M to work? I've done everything step by step and even watched videos on how to install T4M, no success at all. ever:(

Finally I found a solution, the only way that worked for my friends and me was to use the r41 version of T4M, this allows you to change the nickname of the %appdata% folder and does not change it.

Could you please help me out i've also tried the same with friends but it keeps getting infinte loading when launching the map.
I'm using the Latest version of the crack of Cod world at war (Dodi Repack) and T4m R45 + the R41 Fixed
Also changed the profile and indeed the R41 version doesn't change the profile but we still can't join get into a fully working lobby only the lobby.

t4m r45 only works for the steam and cd disc versions of the game

I wanted to first and foremost, say thanks for this great mod. Secondly, does anyone know if there is a way to hide/minimize or not show the external console window?
I tried what   @DidUknowiPwn mentioned in his original post (see below) to put r_external console 0  or con_external 0  but it does not seem to work. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
 
External Console has a bool dvar r_externalconsole con_external (r43+) for it to show or not show. (r42)

u need to lower the texture quality in the texture settings for it to work

As soon as I apply the file d3d9.dll (r45), then in the boot menu of the co-op game over the local network, I get the message:
"Server authorization error, please try again."
The version of my game (CD "RU") 1.7.1263. When run with d3d9.dll, the version is detected as 2.0.45.
I tried the English version of the game 2.0.45, the result is the same.
With the T4M version of the mod (r41), you can't get into the lobby at all.
P / S    Hope punkbuster doesn't need to use LAN mod for this? :/

yea np and nope punkbuster does not support cod waw anymore and also i use t4m to play online and it works fine for me

I have the steam version of the game  and lan does work on it too and also tell me did u buy the cd disc version of the game  ?

i think the problem is that when u play with a person or with other people that does NOT buy the game, it will cause that server authorization error on lan

Hence, we can conclude that this mod requires only an online profile. But I only use a local network with an offline profile.

that problem only happens if u didnt buy the game and playing only on  lan with a non legit version of the game and also not having a working profile

For anybody having trouble playing multiplayer with T4M on the disc version of the game, trying making a seperate folder in the directory to temporarily store the d3d9.dll file while you launch the multiplayer exe. This is the solution my friend and I have used to get around this problem.

Hey everyone, myself and @Clippy95 have worked on a continuation of T4M we just released our r48 fork https://github.com/JBShady/T4M-Enhanced (https://github.com/JBShady/T4M-Enhanced)
 
The main changes include fixed vertex corruption (you no longer need to change texture settings on some custom maps), ReShade support, and an added LAN fix/potential fix for CD players. Also some other minor things you can read about in the GitHub. If anyone else has any other requests for us to continue the project let me know.
 
Windows may detect it as a false positive because to fix vertex corruption we actually had patch the WAW game .exe. However, users can still use our r47 and then just add the patch manually.
