Hi, my friend recently downloaded the program and instead of downloading the actual program it downloaded 8 different things messing up his computer. It downloaded for me perfectly fine. I just wanted to know if you can explain or tell me what happened.
More backround info. He downloaded it and said that ads and downloads popped up every second and he couldn't delete anything and his whole browser froze. He tried to uninstall it but it wouldn't work.
Can someone please give me an explantion for this. Thanks!

If something like that happened your friend seems to have adware on his pc.
A program called Anti-Malware-Bytes (which has a free test-version) can normally get rid of such software and should be able to delete the program he downloaded instead of the map-manager too.
I can assure you that you won't get any malicious software on this site if you aren't redirected by adware.

I think you may mean just "Malwarebytes", no "anti"

Hosted on the site directly? No. Though Ads? Probably. The ads on UGX are terrible and full of crapware/viruses/whatever, but i guess thats why you use adblock and a script blocker.
I personally wouldn't use Malwarebytes right away. He should stop the malicious software from running at boot and then get rid of it otherwise it might do something else or comeback altogether.
Don't mind MAK911 or Alerion, they clearly know nothing - "Delete sys32" and "Anti-Malware-Bytes" lmao.

I have no control when it comes to ads and MAK was clearly joking. But saying that I wouldn't know what I'm talking about because I didn't remember the name of that program is kinda funny especially as it's coming from you
