Ported Models texture bug

So I ported this blue barrel from MW3 to WAW and various other models, but I noticed the same bug of squares on every model. I used lime to export the models and used Toms Alpha remover on the .dds images but the texture glitch is still there.

sometimes are the asset-viewer buggy.. had also some bugs with it, but ingame all works perfect..

A lot of normal/specs get messed up by Tom's programs.
Not really is that when you convert normal maps you have to select LEGACY ENCODING.

Yes the texture bug appears in game, asset viewer, but not radiant

It doesn't show up in Radiant coz Radiant doesn't load normal or spec maps, and I didn't say it was exclusive to Tom's programs just that his often do this too. I usually end up making my own normal maps if they turn out with the square shit on them, although I've only messed with the legacy encoding thing once (someone recommended me too) so that might be worth a try.

ok but are you sure that your materials for the model aren't still using the broken normalmaps and specmaps?

And yes Tom's tool does break textures from games newer than CoD5 all the time.

Dude, select legacy encoding for the normal maps and recompile them (textures, not the models).

You didn't answer the question. Look in asset manager and see if you are loading any NORMAL OR SPECULAR MAPS for the materials...

You didn't answer the question. Look in asset manager and see if you are loading any NORMAL OR SPECULAR MAPS for the materials...
By default its loading a color map and normal map

By using legacy encoding the issue disappears only if you're very close to the model, if you're far away the texture bug appears. I don't know if I did something wrong or if it is an draw distance issue.
