I started working on this map before Black Ops III mod tools came out, so it was still relevant then. Wanted to finish and publish what I started, so here it is. Descent takes place sometime between the events of Origins and Revelations. The Origins crew are on another mission to rid all the universes of… themselves… Here, we find our brave heroes journeying into the Heart of Africa (okay, not really, but it sounds more poetic that way), on a quest to rid this universe of an unnecessary Edward Richtofen. Set in 1962. Seemed like appropriate post-WWII time to me (see Wolfenstein: The New Order and The Man in the High Castle). Sorry for lack of Origins character models; don’t have Black Ops II for PC.

Note: When ascending or descending while zombies are “alive,” you may encounter frame drops as the game attempts to determine the proper path for the zombies.
Known Bugs:
Hidden Text
Sometimes images won’t load; exit level and re-launch map to fix.
Double Tap 2.0 appears to not work properly on certain weapons. No rhyme or reason as to which weapons in particular (know it affects wonder weapon and Remington 700). Possibly only occurs for limb shots. No clue why. Connection / frame rate issue?
End cutscene may not play. If this happens, go into your app data, open the Descent mod folder, open the Descent IWD file, copy and paste the end cutscene bik into main/video.
Apparently, sometimes the Repack is free?
Evidently, there's co-op bugs?

This map is good slightly glitchy at times, but all maps are, I'm thoroughly enjoying it but cannot find out what to do with the parts for the life of me.

What glitches are you noticing? I thought I'd taken care of or posted about all of them by now...

As for the parts, I don't want to spoil too much, but just take a look around everything in the map that isn't just terrain or water... :)

I found out what to do but the water movement is a little touchy, like kind of hard to go through, I enjoy it but it was still giving me some problems at times, mainly when moving from water onto the land.

Nice to see you figured it out. Yeah, World at War's engine  / game mechanics definitely did not take water movement much into consideration, but you did notice the mini ladder at the one edge of the water to help you get back up, right?

I did find the ladder but sadly, I fell in the water with a very large amount of zombies behind me and was unable to get away from them...   :alone:

Lol! Yeah, those zombies will absolutely murder you in the water with their epic "swimming" abilities... ;)

Now i want to start this off by saying it's a great map, and it was enjoyable. My two issues is that the ending is a bit too easy to get, and the cutscene doesnt work. Another glitch i noticed (and i'm not sure if it's because of getting the ending) but re-pack a punching was free, and allowing me to change prefix for free (I got blast furnace on my spas 12 right when it ended). Other than that, it's a good map. 7.8/10.

I had a lot more fun playing this map than I expected to.  It had a lot of little quirky things that reminded me of the first custom maps I played.  I was surprised to see bayonets, and then died once using them, had a good laugh at that.  I had forgotten how lunging with them causes the player to sort of get stuck in an orbit around their target.

Not sure about either one. Deleted my mod data and did a fresh reinstall of my mod using the .exe file. Cutscene works fine on my end. Since it didn't play for you for whatever reason, you can view it here:

I just want to note that no, I have NOT tried the map at the time of making this post, so I realize that yes, I AM judging a book by its cover here. If anyone has an argument that can manage to convince me that there's worth in at least trying the map, please leave it for me.
So, going off of the screenshots, I can already tell that there's not exactly much to look at. I can appreciate the fact that there are new guns to use and new perks to buy, but honestly, if it fires bullets and kills things, a gun is pretty much just a gun, and every perk that I can see has already been used to extinction. No point in looking at something when I already know what it will look like, or buying something when I already know what it will do. But what I personally like to look for in a map isn't in the available myriad of weaponry to choose from, or the vast expanse of perks to buy, but rather, the atmosphere and look of the map itself. If you look at a few previous maps such as Leviathan or Project Contamination, those maps have a LOT of atmosphere; you actually FEEL like you're there, looking at something. Your map, however, does have its own atmosphere, to an extent. The sensation I get just from looking at the screenshots is a map ripped from Roblox with guns. There's not even any decent dynamic lighting from what I can tell. No lamps, flickering flashlights, hell, not even a spot of light with no source. Basically, what I'm trying to say is that you're offering us a map made of Lego bricks with a new HUD (which isn't even new, it was ripped directly from Black Ops 2's Buried map.) and some guns/perks we've already seen before. Not hating, just saying that you'll need just a TINY bit more effort to appease this rather demanding fellow.
