Me and a couple friends recently bought the steam version of WAW and wanted to get into a game of custom zombies however none of us can connect to eachother. When i join my friend's online lobby in the top right it says "trying to join potential matches" and i get put into a lobby on my own, then after about 30secs it kicks me out and pops up with the message "game session is no longer available." This is becoming more and more frustrating as none of us have found a fix.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is port-fowarding neccesary and if so what ports do you need to host a game?

are you both loading the mod? Sound like one of you had a different mod, or a different version OF the mod loaded (or no mod at all)

Both start the game

Both of you load the mod

One of you creates a private lobby

Change the settings from campaign to zombies and the map should default on to the one from the mod

then invite your friend

If they had different mods then when they click on the game invite it would say that the person has a different mod loaded and give the name of the mod instead of just the game session is no longer avilable. If the mod is named the same then the other players besides the host would get glitches, cant shoot, cant buy ammo, says no ammo in gun. etc.

go to home page on this site and click on large red rectangle that says how to install and play . when i first started playing waw custom zombies i had same problem . if you ever renew your router you ll have to open ports again. if you get stuck just google or check out faq section of install guide on this site
ive included link for my routers set up but ports are correct just search your router if your not sure how to set up

Good to know, Ive never actually seen it I was just presuming
