Hello,
I have room that has this layout:

The black and red lines ar my walls.(the blue don't exist in my map)
I want the black square to be a room. But i also want the squares in the corners to be separate rooms.
My question is: How do i zone this?
Is it a problem if the zones overlap?

Yes that is a big problem that will cause freezes and problems with the zombies. They should be touching, but not overlapping

Create one zone to cover some of it, then copy that, Dont change the KVPS

the zone script doesnt look for "one" copy of the zone volume, it checks how many exist, then runs the functions on all of them

Most likely to allow for this issue - Oddly shaped areas ;)
