If im being totally honest, I thought about porting the map but then I thought its not really my creation and id rather remake it myself, and also because im dumb and cant make sense of how to do it, Id feel more proud making it from scratch anyway even if its not fully accurate, its still Inferno

if you don't try to find a way to do something, there's no point in wishing you could do it. three years ago i didn't know how to import custom textures but then i stopped wishing and started learning whatever i can and look where it got me now.
i am deeply offended by this statement.
Since you made it im sure you could help me with my issue now when Compiling, I tried to port stuff but gave up because I ended up not wanting to do it and I couldnt. When I go to compile my map now this pops up and just ends compiling, I have no idea how to fix this because I dont know what its trying to say:

This actually looks really good so far, are those custom models I see? Some dude imported Dust II into BO3 and it's damn near 1:1, maybe you could persuade him to borrow his magic :lol:
I mean thanks! I wish I had custom models but I literally have no idea how Id ever port anything from outside of COD, because if I knew how to Id be instantly on that. His map looks so good so I mean I could message him and ask him for how he did it.

Over the past week or so I have been remaking the old version of the map Inferno from CS GO, so far I have currently only got the main map done, and in its state not playable as there are no zombie spawns in the map, which I do hope to change very soon as I just wanted to get the layout of the map done so i can then go and detail it slowly

This is my first time with the mod tools. and I am proud of how the map has turned out to be.

I am always willing for new suggestions and improvements so if you have any please tell me. I will be adding tons more things to my map in the future such as electric cherry, custom weapons, dogs(maybe), maybe a shootable easter egg or whatever but I will see! Thank you for checking me out

Yes I am using the right animations for the gun, I just really do not see my issue, if that guy who posted earlier remembers what he did to stop it since he had the same issue I should be great

it happened to me when I forgot to use the "renameRig.mel" script
Well I used that, so it can't be that, I mean I'll look tomorrow when I can get on my computer

oh and I forgot to say I bounded the viewmodel of the gun and the world model, but yea I followed it step by step apart from all the mag bits, and I even tried porting the mp5 but yet again it does the same thing, so it could be user error on something im doing, but Im sure ive done it exactly how he does it

I have had this issue before. I cant recall how I fixed it. What process do you go through while setting up the gun and the anims.
Well for the m1911 there wasn't a mag, so I just used the model for the gun itself, and then did the world model. I placed the Jessica hand model thing on the view model and put that on the right hand, I put the script on to make everything _p7 I think it was. But literally everything jbird did. Except the mag part

Yes I have, and then when I go to place my idle animation on that happens, so im clueless

Ive even tried using multiple other guns with no success so I dont know if its something wrong on my part or its maya itself, it seems more something ive done but ive followed tutorials exactly how they do it and I still end up with the same result

So when I have my gun and hand models all placed properly and done, when I drag my idle animation into maya the hand models mess up when they try to hold the gun. What am I doing wrong here?

If you made a map for WaW, simply open your WaW map in the WaW radiant then press the " I " button then got to File > Save Selected and save your new prefab in your BO3 map_source/prefabs folder.

Now open up BO3 radiant and open the prefab browser, then simply drag/drop the prefab!

Is there a way to port like just the dlc maps over from the game? as in like a zombies map or multiplayer? Because I did see someone port over a multiplayer map so i just assumed you could for like zombies too?

Is this an easy job? Because id love to port a map over to black ops 3 but i would have no idea how since I am not that experienced in using them.

like say i want to move a building around or a big part of my map around and none of them are prefabs is there a way to highlight them all quickly so i can move them all together? Ive been unable to find a way to do this since im so new with the mod tools, Thanks a lot

is it actually Microsoft Visual or is it me making the map which causes this? because im getting 7 errors when i compile, light and link and i dont know if they affect anything its just saying  " 'model'  is not a valid physpreset asset"
