Hey UGX community,

Ive done plenty of zombie mapping before, but for some reason on my new computer, I installed the Mod Tools and converter gives me this error

"This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information."

Does anyone know why this is? I've tried everything from re-installs to making sure everything runs in compatability mode and as an administrator.

Ive looked everywhere online, and have yet to find any answers. If anyone could tell me why I would really appriciate it.

Thanks, Bobvorn

New Info,

I have been working on this for days now, and Ive actually found some other information. In bin/converter.cfg, if you remove the line -nocachedownload it spits out this error...

"Conversion failed due to invalid or missing parameter(s).
Bad or no -cacheupload password!
 Hit key to continue.

ERROR in "converter.cfg"

Valid parameters are:
  build all
  clean <all/gdf name>
  -nospam
  -gamedir <game dir path>
  -nocachedownload
  -cacheupload <password>
  -cachesqlserver <server name>
  -cachesqldb <db name>
  -cachefilepath <filepath>
  -cacheprefix <depot name prefix>
  -skiptype <asset type>
  -single <asset type> <asset name>
  -verbose
  -changelist
  -zonesoundvars <loadspec,loadspec,...>
  -y
  -n"

not sure if it'll help anyone, but I'm thinking maybe its a registry error or something to do with the "cache"?

thanks again for anybody's help!

I have found the solution, for anybody else with this problem, here is your answer!

delete this file assettgtcache/converter.db

run the converter and everything should now work!

Glad you found the solution - that parameter list you got is interesting too.

I do agree, i was trying the commands out, but haven't gotten anything to work yet. I wonder what the capabilities of that are, apparently you can upload your output to a MySQL server.... very interesting...
